  1. Feb 26,  · referencing Wise After The Event, LP, Album, Gat, SPART Although this album is certainly not a masterpiece (surely very good nonetheless), its cover alone is worth the price you pay. The beauty of the album's artwork is unbelievable (and I've seen thousands of LP covers).4/5().

  3. Wise after the Event never lived up to the expectations I had after G & G. There is too much self indulgence (yes I know all his music is a bit like that) which I don't usually mind but it lacked the consistency I had experienced from G & G. Overall a good album and would probably have been a fairer mark but there aren't enought really good /5(39).

  6. Wise After the Event has always been one of my very favorites sets of music, and I'd take this as a desert island disc as I love just about every track. Originally released in after The Geese and the Ghost, Anthony sings all the vocals on this CD in his melodically unique raspy voice which I like/5(39).

  8. By some quirk of fate, I owned this album before I ever owned a Genesis album. This second solo album by Anthony Phillips, Genesis' original lead guitarist, is easily the best of the 11 albums I've heard by him (the only one I bothered getting on CD), and one of my favorites of ALL the solo albums by Genesis members.3/5(4).
  9. Whereas Anthony Phillips' debut album The Geese & the Ghost was recorded piecemeal over a period of years, his sophomore set was cut in comparatively record time, a month in fall , just as the first rave reviews for its predecessor hit the stands. It was an invigorating period and Phillips' confidence oozes out of every groove. Without departing from the proto-formula that established.
